Live Your Values, Change the World

When you're around a group of people you begin to take on their attributes, their beliefs.

Thich Nhat Hanh says, "Although you may want to be yourself, you are consuming their ways. The way we make decisions, our likes and dislikes, depend on the collective way of seeing things. You may not see something as beautiful, but if many people think it's beautiful, then slowly you may come to accept it as beautiful also because the individual consciousness is made up of the collective consciousnesses.

The value of a dollar is made up of the collective thinking of people, not just objective economic elements. People's fears, desires, and expectations make the dollar go up and go down. We are all influenced by the collective ways of seeing and thinking.

That's why selecting the people you're around is very important. It's very important to surround yourself with people who have loving kindness, understanding, and compassion, because day and night we are influenced by the collective consciousness."

I love that description of how important who you hang around really is.
Do they inspire you or bring you down?

They say, "one rising tide raises all ships".
I am not the rising tide WE ALL ARE.
Only if you get involved and do something will our ship be able to rise up high carrying us all with it. Sure it will grow but it won't be the same without you.

Since I'm new on the Reno scene I get asked two questions all the time:

Excuse me, how do I know you?
What do you do?

Most people answer with their job. I don't really have one?
I used to answer I'm an "Ambassador of Abundance"
or
"just your average Buddhist, vegan, wine drinking, Harley riding, tree hugger"
No matter which answer I gave I was usually greeted with a blank stare as the person would simply ask again, "yeah, but what do you do?"

Now that I'm in Reno and meeting lots of new people I thought I'd write a brief note about "what I do". I first came through Reno several years ago showing, "The Secret" at the local library. About 100 people showed up. I stayed in Reno for about a year getting involved with a Vegan Meetup I started and some local animal groups and non profits.

The reason I was showing The Secret is I had worked with Rhonda and her team launching the movie. I'm the Founder of Powerfulintentions.com, a Law of Attraction community which became the official online community for the movie. The site was mentioned in the forward of the book and created massive traffic to powerful intentions launching a huge community.

About the same time as The Secret came out my Network Marketing business took off. I've been on the cover of several home business magazines,on the radio and more. I used to own a stock brokerage company with my brother and have expertise in sales and marketing having served as VP of Sales for sevral Fortune 100 companies.

Network Marketing is how I'm able to live my life on my own terms. I consider helping people free themsleves from their jobs and take back their life an important part of my work in the world.

For that past two years I've travelled the country in an RV. First, on the Forever Green Lifestyle Tour with my friends Cody McKiney and Stamati Panos and the past year with my new wife, Tysha, on The Peace Tour.

Tysha and I have 5 dogs (rescues) that we travel with. We love animals. I'm vegan and Tysha's vegetarian. Im also the Founder of VegHaven.org. Helping animals is always a big part of everything we do.

As Tysha and sat down to vision our life together we had a vision of an orgaization that would later become SpreadPeace.org, an international "Church" that could empower people all over to go do "good work".

As others joined in that vision SpreadPeace.org also known as The Peace Church. The founders include Wiccans, Christians, Buddhists, Pagans, and many other faiths. The Peace Church is the governing body of the groups like SpreadPeaceReno.org started by Ministers of Peace like Tysha and myself. One minister just published his first book titled, "Coming Out: The Road to Unconditional Love" and others have started local groups or travelled like us.

So what's my religion?

My religion is Kindness.
If you can help someone, do so
If I can not help them, do you best to do them no harm.

Tysha and I would like to have a home, make friends and become part of a real community.

Of all the places we've been there was no question Reno was our home.

So we are here and setting about our work, simply finding ways to be kind and asking others if they wanna join us.

Namaste,
